Full course description
This online training is required for all Utah educators teaching sex education, maturation, or related topics in health, CTE, science, and psychology. The course ensures educators understand Utah laws and policies so you can teach appropriately. This course must be completed prior to teaching any aspect of human reproduction, STI prevention, pregnancy, relationships, human anatomy and physiology, or other topics as defined by Utah Code 53G-10-403. Educators must retake this course every three years. Learning Intentions: Understand Utah Law and Policy for teaching sex education. Success Criteria: By the ned of this course, learners will be able to understand the laws and policy for teaching sex education in Utah's public schools and can locate resources for support when needed. This course should take educators approximately one hour to complete. Credit is is given inside educators Canvas accounts.
