Full course description
This course is intended for educators who work with students with disabilities ages 14-22. The course walks learners through all the components of the postsecondary transition plan, including the mandates, the compliance requirements and effective practice for creating high quality postsecondary transition plans, leading to robust postsecondary transition services which will improve the outcomes of the students with whom they work.
The concepts covered in this course include:
Age-Appropriate Postsecondary Transition Assessments for students with disabilities; Measurable Postsecondary Goals; Postsecondary Transition Services for students with disabilities; Course of Study; Annual IEP Goals; Student Invite to IEP; Coordination with Adult Agencies; Age of Majority; Interrelationship of all the postsecondary transition indicators
